Unacceptable Subsidy Proofs
- This card is issued by many different states, many of which Life Wireless is not authorized to do business in, and many different subsidy benefits are deposited upon it, some of which are not Lifeline-eligible subsidies. This is unacceptable because it is not possible to determine the state in which it was issued or the type of subsidy benefits that is deposited upon it.
Notice that it while it looks similar to the Kentucky SNAP EBT card, it is missing the Commonwealth Seal of Kentucky in the upper right-hand corner:
- Similar to the Benefits Security Card, this card is also issued by many different states, many of which Life Wireless is not authorized to do business in, and many different subsidy benefits are deposited upon it, some of which are not Lifeline-eligible subsidies. This is unacceptable because it is not possible to determine the state in which it was issued or the type of subsidy benefits that is deposited upon it.
- This card is used to load child support payments.
- MediCAID and MediCARE are two completely different programs. MediCAID is income-based and a Lifeline-eligible subsidy in ALL states. MediCARE, an example of which is shown here, is age-based and therefore not a Lifeline-eligible program.
- This is a MediCARE provider in Puerto Rico
W.I.C. (Women, Infants, & Children) Card
- SNAP/Food Stamps and W.I.C. are two completely different programs. SNAP/Food Stamps is a Lifeline-eligible subsidy in ALL states. W.I.C. is only a Lifeline-eligible program in CALIFORNIA and if someone is eligible for W.I.C., they are not eligible for SNAP/Food Stamps.
- This program provides health insurance coverage for children in families that DO NOT qualify for Medicaid.
AHCCCS EMERGENCY SERVICES ONLY
- The Emergency Services program of AHCCS provides emergency services only to immigrants, including undocumented immigrants, who are eligible for Medicaid except for their immigrant status, meaning that though they are eligible, they are not receiving it.
Maine GENERAL Assistance Award Letter
- Unless EMERGENCY Assistance (a Lifeline-eligible subsidy in Maine) is checked, this letter is only an award letter for GENERAL Assistance (not a Lifeline-eligible subsidy).
Unacceptable ID Proofs
- Many states and cities outsource the oversight of mass transit to private firms. Since these ID's are issued by private firms, that disqualifies them as government-issued.
