5 apostrophes will embolden and italicize the text.

(4 apostrophes don't do anything special -- there's just 'one left over'.)

Section headings

Headings organize your writing into sections. The Wiki software can automatically generate a table of contents from them.

Subsection

Using more equals signs creates a subsection.

A smaller subsection

Don't skip levels, like from two to four equals signs.

Start with two equals signs, not one. (One equals sign is only used for page titles.)

      • More stars indicate a deeper level.
  • Previous item continues.
    • A new line
  • in a list

marks the end of the list.

  • Of course you can start again.

Uploading Images

Before an image or picture can be used in an article, it will need to be uploaded to the wiki. Use the steps below to upload an image:

  • Make sure that you are logged in, and that your account has permission to upload images.
  • Go to the toolbox area on the left side of the browser.
  • Click on the link for Upload file.
  • Fill in the form with the appropriate information:
Source filename is the name of the image that you wish to upload.
Destination filename is what the file will be called on the wiki. Use this to correct typos, or to make other changes to the filename.
Summary can hold a short description of the file, or what it will be used for.
  • When the form is filled out, click on Upload file.
  • You should see a page with information about the file. You can now use that image in the wiki.
